Federal Trade Commission
The FTC enforces federal consumer protection laws that prevent fraud, deception and unfair business practices. The Commission also enforces federal antitrust laws that prohibit anticompetitive mergers and other business practices that restrict competition and harm consumers.

Great Hires - formerly known as Missouri Works!
Great Hires: Missouri's Workforce Resource offers information to assist the job seeker, employee, employer, educator, and statistician. Job training opportunities and help in matching employees with employers are provided free of fees.  This site is a service of the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

Internet Fraud Complaint Center
A partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National White Collar Crime Center to address fraud committed over the Internet. For victims of Internet fraud, IFCC provides an easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of a suspected criminal or civil violation.

The Internet Public Library – Business
Links covering the realms of commerce and industry; the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services and the management of economic systems.

Missouri Economic Development Business Center
Covers information needed to create a new business or operate an existing business in Missouri including links to taxes, licenses and permit information.  This site also has a link to an interactive form where users can order a customized packet on starting a business in Missouri covering the specific needs of their type of business.

Missouri Secretary of State's Office - 
Business Services Department

The Business Services department, divided into three (3) divisions -- Commissions, Corporations and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) -- handles most aspects of doing business with and/or in the State of Missouri.  Contains searchable Business Entity Database covering relevant biographical information on all of the individual business entities registered with the Missouri Secretary of State's Corporations Division.

Missouri's Business Information Source Resource Library (MO-BIS) 
Web directory of links to small business topics such as business development, marketing, legal concerns, and industry specific information.  This site is part of the Missouri Business Development Network, a statewide partnership enhancing the competitiveness of Missouri's small businesses.
